Duration: 1 day.
This asbestos awareness course is for Local Authority personnel, Environment Agency Inspectors and Fire Service Operational personnel assessing the risks from and the precautions to be taken during damping down and turning over operations, including clearing fire-damaged asbestos containing materials (ACMs) from buildings.
The course is sufficient to assist employers to comply with Regulation 10 and Regulation 15 which states….
‘The employer shall ensure that information on the procedure and systems required by paragraph (l)(a) and (c) and the information required by paragraph (l)(b) is - made available to the relevant accident and emergency services to enable those services, whether internal or external to the workplace, to prepare their own response procedures and precautionary measures’
